12South Winter Warmer Donation Ceremony

Starts January 13, 2012 6:00 pm

The 12South Winter Warmer was a great time and a very successful event. However it was much more than just a party in the park, it was actually a very community oriented event that was created to spread the good word of craft beer and benefit one of Nashville’s best charities, The Oasis Center. Please join us on Friday, January 13th 2012 @ 6:00pm as the Taproom hosts the 12South Winter Warmer Donation Ceremony. Matt Leff, the man behind Rhizome Productions, East Nashville Beer Fest, and The 12South Winter Warmer will be on hand to present the donation. Below is the official press release from Rhizome Productions. Looking forward to the event and we hope you can make it.

It is with great pleasure that Rhizome Productions announces it charitable contribution to the Oasis Center’s Bicycle Workshop program. Through community support of the 12 South Winter Warmer in Sevier Park on December 10th, Rhizome Productions will be able to provide a donation of $4,500 to further insure the success and impact the Bicycle Workshop has on the local Nashville community. The formal donation ceremony will take place on January 13th at the 12 South Tap Room starting at 6pm and is open to the public.
The Workshop is a collaboration between the Oasis Center and Halcyon Bike Shop. The Workshop is a free, six week program open to Nashville’s youth, and thanks to our friends at Humana, it is housed in a beautiful new workshop at the Youth Opportunity Center. Since June 2009, over 300 youth completed the bike program. That means 300 more young people own a bike, are safe and skilled riders and now have access to more opportunities than ever before.
Rhizome Productions is an East Nashville based small business that produces The East Nashville Beer Festival, 12 South Winter Warmer, and Nashville Craft Beer Week. Additionally, Rhizome Productions offers marketing and event production consulting. Through these events they have donated over $15,000 in 2011 to local Nashville charitable organizations. The East Nashville Beer Festival will be returning for its second year on March 31st, 2012 and once again will be donating 50% of net ticket sale proceeds to charity.
